THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Field Engineer, to support the IT function of the business. This key role will work collaboratively with other business functions to set up, decommission and relocate the IT equipment and services within our display centres. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager some key accountabilities of this role include:
- Set up maintain and decommission IT and AV equipment including Routers, Switches, Access Points, TV’s, Printers, Content management systems etc
- Travel to display homes and regional offices to support end users including setting up desks, monitors, printers and peripherals etc
- Ensure the optimal performance of all hardware and network for Display Homes and Simonds offices
- Respond to calls and emails from internal Level 1 and 2 escalations, accurately identify the cause of the issues
- Provide onsite support to resolve Incidents and implement service requests
- Assist the broader IT team and external service provider in maintaining the network and implementing new technologies
- Provide technical support for IT projects when required
- Required to travel within Victoria and potentially interstate (Company van provided)
- Coordinate contractors to perform on-site technical work as needed.
WHAT YOU WILL OFFER
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:
- A tertiary degree/diploma in an IT related discipline (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years IT experience
- A valid Australian driver’s licence (essential)
- Well-developed verbal, written communication, and numerical skills
- A high standard of time management, problem solving and prioritising activities
- Strong relationship building with an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- A strong customer service ability with professional communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent knowledge of networking, LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, and other systems/requirements.
- Hands-on experiences with network devices: routers, switches, access points, and other networking equipment.
- Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows, Exchange, Remote Access, office365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Mobile Device Management and other Desktop hardware/software
