WHY TEAM SIMONDS?

The Simonds story all started in 1949 with a passionate family man, Gary Simonds. He envisioned a builder that Australians could rely on to guide them through the process of crafting their perfect home. This vision remains at the heart of Simonds today with our commitment to making the Great Australian Dream a reality by placing home ownership within Australia’s reach.

Becoming part of Team Simonds means becoming part of the family. Our people are the heart of what we do. Our homes are built for the community, by the community, with a local network of employees, trades and suppliers all working towards this vision. It is this passion, dedication, and excellence that you will find on every Simonds job site, office, and display centre across the country. Today, we stand proudly as an ASX listed & leading national builder servicing customers across Victoria, Queensland and South Australia.

Simonds has helped shape Australia. Few can say that. Whether we’re looking back at the homes of yesteryear, what we’re building now, or everything that’s still to come. We’ve not only shaped what Australia looks like, but more importantly, how Australia homes.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a full-time Tender Presenter to prepare and present tender documentation to Simonds’ clients, based out of our new Collins Square office. This role is key to ensuring clients clearly understand their home design, pricing, and inclusions before moving into the contract stage.

Due to the client-facing nature of the role, flexibility across a 38-hour working week is required, as appointments may occur outside standard business hours, including early mornings & evenings. This position would suit someone who can manage their time and workflow autonomously while delivering a high-quality client experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and presenting tender documentation to clients, including plans, specifications, pricing, and relevant HIA components
  • Clearly explaining tender details, costs, inclusions, and exclusions to ensure clients are fully informed
  • Presenting and facilitating tender signings with clients
  • Sourcing pricing for client-requested changes and variations in consultation with internal teams
  • Managing client appointments, bookings, and follow-ups
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure tender accuracy and timelines are met
  • Providing exceptional customer service throughout the tender presentation process
  • Assisting the wider Operations team with ad hoc administrative tasks and client queries as required

WHO YOU ARE

You are a confident and customer-focused professional who enjoys presenting information clearly and building strong client relationships. You bring a solid understanding of the residential building process and thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Tender Presenter role or a similar position within residential construction
  • A good understanding of the building process, building codes, and compliance requirements
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and explain building and drafting plans
  • Sound knowledge of HIA contracts and the ability to explain key components to clients
  • High attention to detail and strong administrative and computer skills
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working hours and client needs
  • A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

Experience within residential construction or a customer-facing building role will be highly regarded.
