We are seeking a Sales Estimator to support the Adelaide Estimating team. This key role will ensure accurate and timely preparation of Sales Estimating activities for our residential home builds. Reporting to the Estimating Team Leader, some key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Prepare and document accurate cost estimates for tenders, variations, and new home contracts
  • Calculate site costs and quantities for alterations to our new home designs
  • Liaising with and managing enquiries from internal and external stakeholders such as Sales, Gallery, Operations and Suppliers, Trades and Construction Team
  • Provide accurate costings to ensure margin objectives are met
  • Interpret civil and structural engineering plans to derive accurate site costs
  • Complete set tasks and achieve job targets within designated time frames
  • Obtain relevant quotes and pricing for non-standard variations.


Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous estimating experience within the residential building and construction industry (preferred)
  • Tertiary/TAFE qualification in a Building and Construction discipline
  • Current working knowledge of the National Construction Code and Australian Standards
  • Analytical skills and competency reading architectural plans, engineering and soil reports
  • Strong numerical skills, high attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional communicator with a strong customer focus
  • Ability to proactively problem solve and troubleshoot.
