Our South Morang office in the Northern suburbs are seeking a Permits Officer to join the team on a full-time basis. As Permits Officer, you are responsible for assisting and managing permit applications for the Northern region. This can include accountabilities such as but not limited to:

  • Applying for dispensations
  • Maintaining permit workflow reports
  • Reviewing and checking MCP/developer guidelines
  • Obtaining engineering designs
  • Reviewing permit applications
  • Liaising with internal and external clients and stakeholders such as councils, building surveyors, engineers and developers on a day-to-day basis
  • Other administration tasks as required by Operations team


We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience in a similar role and/or in the residential construction industry (or related)
  • An understanding of building regulations
  • Knowledge of building permit procedures
  • Competency in using the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated planning skills and ability efficiently handle conflicting priorities
  • Able to work both autonomously and contribute to a wider team
