As a leader of the region’s Operations team, the primary purpose of the Operations Manager role is the effective operation of regional workflow and business activity to achieve pre-site KPI’s from sales accept through to site start and for monitoring and reporting overall customer service levels.

More specifically, the role is to:

  • contribute as a key member of the region’s senior management team;
  • provide overall direction to the regional Operation’s Team including drafting, estimating, permits and customer experience teams in the achievement of performance and productivity targets including the consistent achievement of site starts within expected time frames;
  • assist with developing and overseeing governance processes to ensure consistency with Simonds policies and processes;
  • liaise and work closely with the region’s Sales and Construction teams to ensure the customer experience is in line with Simonds brand and values; and
  • ensure that exceptions that may hamper achieving site starts are identified and communicated in a timely manner.


You have prior experience in a similar senior regional or operations management role coupled with a broad industry knowledge, including a track record of consistent and high level achievements within residential home building. Your proven ability in the development, delivery and monitoring of key organisational strategies in line with organisational priorities, will be well utilised in this role.

Excellent leadership and proven ability in delivering quality operational and business outcomes enable you to lead and mentor teams and individuals in the achievement of superior results.

You are an outstanding communicator, and are able to use your skills and expertise in the effective management of diverse internal and external stakeholders. Negotiation, consultation and effective collaboration complete your leadership suite of skills, allowing you to contribute to and collaborate with an effective leadership team.
