As a Sales Estimator with Simonds, you are responsible for maintaining quality of work, high levels of accuracy and meeting the required turnaround times for all work produced. This position is full time and is based at our Adelaide office, with the opportunity for flexible work arrangement in the future.

Some key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Providing accurate pricing for contracts and variations including appropriate margin considerations
  • Ability to interpret civil and structural engineering plans to derive accurate site costs
  • Capable of providing cost estimates on changes to a dwelling to assist sales
  • Complete set tasks and achieve job targets within designated time frames
  • Obtain relevant quotes and pricing for non-standard variations
  • Provide assistance to internal gallery staff with upgrades and pricing
  • Offer technical support to team members and sales staff
  • Maintain organised files and appropriate documentation of completed work


A minimum of three years previous sales or production estimating experience within the building and construction industry would be highly advantageous, as would a tertiary/TAFE qualification in estimating. 

Knowledge of Residential Building Code and Australian Standards is required, along with strong analytical skills and the capability to interpret technical drawings. You can actively contribute to a successful team, and along with a strong customer focus, the capacity to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach are pivotal to being successful in this role.

You are a team player who can work with others in order to achieve set targets and KPIs. High attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are desired.
