We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our Adelaide office on a full-time, on-going basis. As a Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for overseeing all regional maintenance team and related activities. Reporting to the Regional Building Manager, some key accountabilities include:

  • Manage, mentor and lead the Maintenance team
  • Ensure that maintenance enquirers are satisfactorily completed in line with Simonds' processes and timelines
  • Weekly reporting
  • Complete and achieve departmental KPIs, as set by senior Management
  • Review and implement new processes and practices in order to improve efficiencies
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure consistency and accuracy across all Maintenance activities
  • Assist People & Culture in recruitment activities
  • Performance management, for example 3 and 6 month performance reviews


We're looking for someone who has:

  • Advanced understanding of residential building and construction
  • Previous experience in a similar role/residential building (preferred)
  • Certificate and/or Diploma of Building & Construction (preferred)
  • A thorough understanding of Australian building regulations, WHSE regulations and Quality Assurance (QA) systems (mandatory)
  • Have completed the General Construction Induction Course/White Card (mandatory)
  • Hold a valid driver's licence (mandatory)
  • Ability to lead, mentor and support a diverse team in order to achieve common goals
  • Commitment to achieving the highest level of customer service
  • Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Advanced computer literacy across the Microsoft Office Suite and other platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail.
