Builders Academy Australia (BAA) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that works with employers, industry and students to achieve exceptional training results at a number of Victorian locations. BAA was established by Simonds in 2005 for the purpose of training Simonds staff and the staff of Simonds suppliers and partners in VET courses in the residential construction sector. The success of the original model lead to expansion of training provision to include staff in its supply chain and subsequently to the wider trade community. BAA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that works with employers, industry and students to achieve exceptional training results at a number of Victorian locations.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a motivated and proactive IT and Learning Systems Officer to provide application, hardware, systems administration and support across our business.

Reporting to the Learning Systems & Resource Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading a small team of Learning Management System Officers.

The IT and Learning Systems Officer is an integral role within the business to ensure day to day operations of the business can be carried out smoothly and efficiently.

The position will be based at our Head Office at 570 St Kilda Road Melbourne – Monday to Friday.

WHO YOU ARE

The ideal applicant will have the following:

  • 3+ Years’ experience in the IT Industry in a similar role (Experience in the Education Sector and advantage but not necessary)
  • Proven experience in ICT support
  • Show initiative and work autonomously, while being part of a team
  • Well organised, methodical and committed to delivering work in a timely and accurate manner
  • Self-starting and proactive, able to move the project forward
  • Ability to design rapidly and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Work to allocated timeframes
  • Provide day to day technical support to all members of the company
  • Maintaining, monitoring, diagnosing and resolving system, network and computer technical issues
  • Assist with deployment of IT systems, mobiles, laptops, PC's, operating systems, telephones, software applications, network, emails and peripherals where required
  • Manage and track IT assets across the company
  • Test new technology and make recommendations to the business
  • Maintain our IT Systems including Student Management Systems and Learning Management System
  • Assist where required to maintain the business network, software and virtual infrastructure
