Builders Academy Australia (BAA) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that works with employers, industry and students to achieve exceptional training results. Based on the principle of “builders training builders”, BAA draws on its connection to Simonds Homes to ensure it provides the highest quality curriculum and training services to meet industry needs. In 2018, BAA was recognised as the Victorian Small Training Provider of the Year after being a finalist for the same award in 2017.


We are seeking Course Sales Advisors to join our team on a full-time basis, based out of our St Kilda Road office. You will be working through phone and online based sales and customer service where your main focus is to discuss various course/training opportunities with potential students in order to convert inquiries into course registrations. Some key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Manage inbound and outbound phone and web-based inquiries regarding BAA certificates/diplomas (hot or warm leads)
  • Work on key sales campaigns to drive new registrations
  • Provide accurate enrolment advice to prospective students
  • Provide eligibility advice and conduct eligibility assessments based on government funded training opportunities
  • Assist with the preparation of key enrolment documentation
  • Ensure the accurate management of the student database
  • Work to achieve daily/weekly conversion targets

Please note: Our staff work varied shifts therefore availability between 8:30am – 6:30pm (weekdays only) is desired.


We are seeking someone who has:

  • Previous sales and/or customer service experience, preferably within a call centre or similar telesales environment
  • Previous RTO experience (highly regarded but not essential)
  • A confident and professional phone manner
  • The ability to build rapport quickly and easily with a diverse client demographic
  • Excellent negotiation skills; you'll consider yourself a good listener who can create training solutions based on prospective students' goals
  • A positive attitude, is self-motivated and resilient
