We are looking for a Senior Course Advisor to join the team at our Head Office on St Kilda Road on a full time, ongoing basis. As a Senior Course Advisor, your primary focus is to support the Course Advisors who are responsible for providing accurate information regarding BAA and all BAA courses to all participants by promoting benefits and features of all BAA services and converting enquiries into registrations. Some key accountabilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing and analysing lead data and distributing leads daily to Course Advisors;
  • Developing reports and presentations on sales activity for Management that will aid in making informed decisions about marketing, sales and business improvements;
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to a small team of Course Advisors;
  • Supporting the team to meet and exceed both individual and team KPI sales targets;
  • Supporting team members to provide accurate enrolment advice and support to a variety of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Working with other departments towards planning future sales activity, course dates and course offerings;
  • Ensuring the accurate and efficient use of Salesforce is occurring by team members;
  • Maximizing lead conversion by implementing strategies to ensure effective lead management
  • Provide accurate enrolment advice to prospective students nationally.

In addition to these senior duties, in relation to servicing their own allocated leads the individual will complete the following activities:

  • Inbound and outbound phone and web-based enquiries
  • Assisting with the preparation of key enrolment documentation
  • Ensuring the accurate management of the BAA student database
  • Converting phone enquiries to student registration
  • Working on various telemarketing campaigns and calling prospective students
  • Contacting individuals/businesses by telephone to promote BAA programs
  • Explaining programs and eligibility requirements to potential clients
  • Identify and promote new business opportunities
  • Monitor program/budgets with managers as required and undertake cost reduction activities

It is expected that this role will include up to 50% of time on senior team support functions, and up to 50% services allocated leads. This allocation of time spent may vary between periods, as per business needs and as per allocated tasks from the Student Enrolments & Admissions Coordinator and Sales Manager.


We are seeking someone who has/is:

  • Proven knowledge and experience using VETtrak, VETEnrol, RTOMS and Salesforce
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Victorian Skills First funding model
  • Strong relationship building skills with major customers, clients and government agencies
  • Meet all ASQA and HESG Fit & Proper Person requirement
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and consultation skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs
  • Sound understanding of VET Student Loans and Skills First
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a strong leadership team
  • Sound knowledge of operational requirements in relation to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 and State and Federal funding contracts including: Skills First, User Choice (Queensland), Smart & Skilled (NSW) and VET Student Loans (advantage but not essential)
