Masterpiece Dual Occupancy, as part of the Simonds Group, is a highly specialised and experienced team of construction professionals who only work on dual occupancy projects and nothing else. That ensures we are focused on efficient project management to enable our projects to commence on site in the shortest possible time. 

Simonds Group is an ASX listed, top tier, building group that has been delivering new homes for Australians for over 70 years. We currently build around 2500 homes each year and our aim is to create value for money homes, which are built on time and to the highest possible standard.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a full-time Project Administrator to join our Masterpiece team. Based at our Springvale office, some key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Set up project plans to forecast and then monitor key tasks from town planning application to site start.
  • Coordinate dual occupancy project tasks to ensure that budgeted contract signings, permits and site starts are achieved within required time frames.
  • Maximise customer satisfaction through accurate documentation and clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Administer (HIA) domestic building contracts in accordance with the company’s procedures and the Domestic Building Contracts Act.
  • Communicate project progress to stakeholders & customers and provide administrative support to the construction team.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
  • Drive the process of documentation development for each project and be the point of contact for our sales team, customers, and operational staff.

WHAT YOU WILL OFFER

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Domestic construction experience – ideally in a customer interface role and around 5 years in the industry.
  • Knowledge of construction documentation – working drawings, engineering, permits, tenders, variations and domestic contracts.
  • Minimum Diploma in any of the following: Project Management, Building and Construction, Quantity Surveying, Drafting, Interior Design, Engineering, or similar (or sufficient equivalent experience).
  • First class written and oral communication skills, the ability to organise and prioritise in a busy environment, a sense of urgency and initiative to solve problems.
  • Knowledge of the Domestic Building Contracts Act would be advantageous.
  • Contract administration experience from either the client or builder side.
  • A high degree of competence in the use of Microsoft Office products – Outlook / Word / Excel / Project (knowledge of Framework and AutoCAD would be advantageous)
