We are seeking an Estimating Team Leader to support and lead a team of 8-10 employees across our Greater Victoria North region. Based in either our South Morang or Bendigo offices, this role will require a person that is passionate about growing the skills of their team and has experience across both sales and production estimating for a volume builder. Reporting to the Regional Manager of Business Operations, some of the key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Lead and manage a team of Sales and Production Estimators
  • Plan, allocate and control workflow
  • Maintain productivity and deliver on targets in line with monthly budgets
  • Develop strategies and processes to manage quality control
  • Reduce extra over orders, cost leakages and tracking variations
  • Provide technical solutions and cost analysis for our sales team regarding design, site evaluations and product variations
  • Provide support and servicing enquiry from the construction team
  • Mentor, train, and coach the Estimating team, to develop their skills, and encourage growth within the company 
  • Prepare reports for senior management and attend operational meetings
  • Assist People and Culture in the hire of new staff and performance management


To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A construction qualification and/or equivalent industry experience
  • Exceptional communication skills and high emotional intelligence to build successful relationships, objectively manage a team and respond competently under pressure.
  • Excellent technical knowledge to identify and apply relevant Building Codes and Building Regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and structural calculations
  • A commitment to deliver a high-quality service and meet set targets
  • An ability to effectively discuss and resolve problems of a technical and/or general nature
