Builders Academy Australia (BAA) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that works with employers, industry and students to achieve exceptional training results. BAA was established by Simonds in 2005 for the purpose of training Simonds staff and the staff of Simonds suppliers and partners in VET courses in the residential construction sector.

Based on the principle of “builders training builders”, BAA draws on its deep connections to Simonds Homes to ensure it provides the highest quality curriculum and training services to meet industry needs. In 2020 and in 2018, BAA was recognised as the Victorian Small Training Provider of the Year after being a finalist for the same award in 2017. We were also announced as the winner at the 2020 Australian Training Awards.

BAA includes two RTO's: House of Learning Pty Ltd trading as Builders Academy Australia (National RTO Code 21583) & City-Wide Building & Training Services Pty LTD trading as CWBTS (National RTO Code 91138). With close to 3000 active students, BAA delivers pre-apprenticeships through to Advanced Diploma level qualifications across 4 Australian states.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this important role coordinates the functions of the phone based Course Advisors working out of the companies St Kilda Road, Melbourne office.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual who has a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring sales and customer service best practice in an industry leading RTO.

Key Tasks include;

  • Reviewing and analyzing lead data and distributing leads daily to Course Advisors;
  • Developing reports and presentations on sales activity for Management that will aid in making informed decisions about marketing, sales and business improvements;
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to a small team of Course Advisors;
  • Ensuring the team meet and exceed both individual and team KPI sales targets;
  • Ensuring that team members provide accurate enrolment advice and support to a variety of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Working with other departments towards planning future sales activity, course dates and course offerings;
  • Completing sales calls for inbound customers to support the team in meeting their targets;
  • Ensuring the accurate and efficient use of Salesforce is occurring by team members;
  • Maximizing lead conversion by implementing strategies to ensure effective lead management.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has a commitment to ensuring best practice customer experience in an industry leading RTO. This role will suit those who have previous call centre and sales experience in a customer focused environment.

It will be important that the successful applicant can create and foster close working relationships with all key staff within the team. To do this they will be a good communicator, energetic approach and have a 'can-do' attitude.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Be experienced in previous team leader or higher role;
  • Ability to meet ASQA Fit & Proper persons requirements;
  • Strong sales experience, including a proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets/KPIs;
  • Proven ability to effectively lead a team in a call centre environment, preferably within the VET sector;
  • Experience using SalesForce and training others on its use;
  • Understands the meaning of delivering exceptional customer service;
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a team environment that is collaborative and inclusive;
  • Able to effectively engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Please note: Our Course Advisor team work varied hours therefore availability between 8:30 am – 6:30pm Monday to Friday is required.
