THE OPPORTUNITY

Seeking a full time, Production Estimator to join our South Morang team. This key role will produce accurate construction budgets and orders that are clearly documented for use by the construction team, suppliers, and contractors within budgeted time frames. Reporting to the National Operations Manager - Research and Development some key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Provide accurate estimates of jobs including variations
  • Obtain relevant quotes and pricing (non-standard)
  • Offer technical support to team members
  • Complete set tasks and achieve job targets
  • Maintain organised files and appropriate documentation of completed work
  • Utilise estimating systems to the full capacity to ensure job/time efficiencies
  • Provide support to site supervisors

WHAT YOU WILL OFFER

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Production Estimator within Residential Construction, preferably with a ‘volume builder’
  • Knowledge of Residential Building Code and Australian Standards
  • A sound understanding and knowledge of the construction process and residential building products
  • Strong analytical skills and the capability to interpret technical drawings, including manual take-offs
  • A tertiary/TAFE building qualification in estimating (desirable, not essential)
  • Exposure to Timberline Estimating, Framework & WMS software packages
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organised with experience working towards both team and individual targets and KPIs
