We are seeking a House and Land Manager to join our Head Office on St Kilda Rd. This key role is responsible for creating House and Land solutions in line with the House and Land Strategy and forecasted budgets whilst upholding the integrity of margin expectations as set and directed by business stakeholders. Reporting to the National Sales and Business Development Manager, some key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Develop and maintain methods for capturing accurate information relating to pricing packaging costs and rules within Runway
  • Ensure packages are complaint and satisfy all building codes, energy efficiency requirements, developer guidelines and local authority requirements.
  • Ensure margins are maintained at pre-determined company benchmarks.
  • Achieve agreed production targets, KPI’s and timeframes to establish solid exposure and presence within the marketplace.
  • Ensure a centralized database is current and accurate to allow available land and details to be tracked and to provide useable data for areas wherever a FSC has been generated.
  • Assess new estates/fix price requests for compliance with Group standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure current and correct documentation is utilised at all times (POS, Eng, Guidelines etc) and database accuracy is maintained.
  • Provide in time reporting of stock lists both internally and to land agents as directed by the State Business Development Manager.
  • Complete market research and competitor analysis as directed by the State Business Development Manager.


Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills, with expertise in the effective management of diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Intermediate land development knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering working drawings, soil reports and specifications.
  • A high level of commercial acumen.
  • Intermediate understanding of site costs estimating methods.
  • Professional standard written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, resilient and self-motivated attitude.
