City-Wide Building & Training Services (CWBTS and Builders Academy Australia (BAA) provides the Australian building and construction industry with outstanding industry-trained building and construction trades people. Based on the principle of "builders training builders", BAA draws on its deep connections to Simonds Homes (as part of the Simonds Group) to ensure it provides the highest quality curriculum and training services to meet industry needs.


Due to a significant transformation within the business, we are looking for Trainers and Assessors in Certificate III in Concreting on a contract basis. We have a range of days available for teaching (7:30am to 5:00pm) across weekdays in and around Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle and regional NSW.

  • The delivery and assessment of the CPC30318 Certificate III in Concreting in part or full
  • Consulting with key clients on their existing and future workforce training needs
  • The review, validation, moderation and continuous improvement of the training resources and assessments for the qualifications above


To be considered for this role, you must hold/be:

  • Recent Concreting industry experience (at least 5 years, and current)
  • CPC30318 Certificate III in Concreting or equivalent qualifications or have sufficient and current vocational competence that would allow for a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process to be completed
  • TAE40110 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • ABN that reflects a Sole Trader status
  • A valid drivers licence
  • Profession communication, negotiation and consultation skills
  • Self-motivated, confident, and a positive attitude
  • Strong relationship building skills with expertise in the effective management of diverse internal and external stakeholder groups
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Sound knowledge of operational requirements in relation to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations

You will possess an interest in imparting your industry knowledge to those eager to learn and expand their Concreting careers. You have a strong customer focus, and the ability to multi-task and be flexible and adaptable in your approach.

You will be an exceptional communicator, who is able to work well both autonomously and in a team environment. The capability to build rapport and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are crucial to the role.
