City-Wide Building and Training Services (CWBTS), provides the Australian Building and Construction industry with outstanding industry trained building and construction tradespeople. We currently have over 4,500 participants who are choosing to study with CWBTS and Builders Academy Australia wide.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Due to a significant business growth, we are looking for Trainers and Assessors in Certificate III in Carpentry and Certificate III in Concreting on a contract basis.

This position is a 30-40 hour per week commitment (7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday) training and assessing in and around Greater Sydney, the Illawarra and Western NSW.

  • The delivery and assessment of CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry in full
  • The delivery and assessment of CPC30318 Certificate III in Concreting in full
  • The delivery and assessment of CPC31511 Certificate III in Formwork / Falsework in full
  • Consulting with key clients on their existing and future workforce training needs
  • The review, validation, moderation and continuous improvement of the training resources and assessments for the qualifications above

WHO YOU ARE

To be considered for this role, you must hold/be:

  • Recent building industry experience (at least 5 years, and current)
  • CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry
  • CPC30318 Certificate III in Concreting and / or
  • CPC31511 Certificate III in Formwork / Falsework qualifications
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • ABN that reflects a Sole Trader status
  • A valid drivers licence
  • Profession communication, negotiation and consultation skills
  • Self-motivated, confident, and a positive attitude
  • Strong relationship building skills with expertise in the effective management of diverse internal and external stakeholder groups
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Sound knowledge of operational requirements in relation to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations

You will possess an interest in imparting your industry knowledge to those eager to learn and expand their general building careers. You have a strong customer focus, and the ability to multi-task and be flexible and adaptable in your approach.

You will be an exceptional communicator, who is able to work well both autonomously and in a team environment. The capability to build rapport and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are crucial to the role.
