As a Project Administrator within our Displays team, your primary focus is to manage multiple display files to ensure a timely and orderly progression through to construction, in line with the Simonds Group service standards. Responsibilities of this role can include:

  • Organize and prioritise display files daily to ensure appropriate issues and milestones are dealt with on a timely basis
  • Manage all aspects of on-site administration including raising purchase orders and ETS orders, invoices, and checking payments
  • Manage and keep track of all the permit application process
  • Ensure and maintain accuracy, timeliness and internal processes when issuing vendor contracts (when applicable)
  • Maintain a professional approach in all dealings with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure all jobs are being recorded accurately
  • Provide reports and workflow documentation as appropriate
  • Ad hoc administration support as required

This is a full-time, on-going position based out of our Head Office on St Kilda Road Melbourne.


  • Have previous experience in the building and construction industry, including but not limited to being able to identify and apply relevant components of Building Codes and Building Regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret construction plans, specifications and structural calculations 
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and consultation skills and expertise in providing advice on a range of complex matter
  • Ability to effectively discuss and resolve problems of a technical nature
  • Ability to effectively plan, manage and meet deadlines
  • Solid experience using the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Office)
