Builders Academy Australia, provides the Australian building and construction industry with outstanding industry-trained building and construction tradespeople. Based on the principle of "builders training builders", BAA draws on its deep connections to Simonds Homes to ensure it provides the highest quality curriculum and training services to meet industry needs.


Due to a significant growth within the business, we are looking for Trainers and Assessors in Cert III Carpentry on a contract basis.  This role has the flexibility of being based out of our office in Baulkham Hills.

Reporting to the Training Manager, we have a range of days available for teaching (7:30am to 3:00pm). Your key responsibilities are:

  • the quality and compliant delivery and assessment of programs in CPC30211 Cert III in Carpentry
  • end to end training and assessing, marking and administration activities and programs 


To be considered for this role, you must hold: 

  • recent or current carpentry industry experience (at least 2 years)
  • hold a CPC30211 Cert III in Carpentry
  • Cert IV Training & Assessment - TAE40110 or its successor
  • ABN as a sole trader
  • Current Working with Children check
  • a current drivers licence; and
  • an understanding of ASQA requirements would be an advantage.

You will possess an interest in imparting your industry knowledge to those eager to learn and expand their construction careers. You have a strong customer focus, and the ability to multi-task and be flexible and adaptable in your approach.

You will be an exceptional communicator, who is able to work well both autonomously and in a team environment. The capability to build rapport and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are crucial to the role.
