Builders Academy Australia, provides the Australian building and construction industry with outstanding industry-trained building and construction tradespeople. Based on the principle of "builders training builders", BAA draws on its deep connections to Simonds Homes to ensure it provides the highest quality curriculum and training services to meet industry needs.


Reporting to the National Training Manager, we are seeking an experienced Trainer and Assessor - First Aid. Some of the key responsibilities of this contract role include:

• Ensuring end to end training and development activities and programs are delivered
• Efficiently delivering quality services to participants on an ongoing basis

The unit will be delivered based on where the demand is i.e. multiple locations around metro and regional Melbourne, based out of our St Kilda Road office in Melbourne.


To be considered for this role, you must hold/have:

• Minimum of five (5) years industry experience is essential
• HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid is essential
• Cert IV Training & Assessment - TAE40110 or its successor
• A current ABN as a Sole Trader status
• Current Working with Children Check
• A valid driver’s licence
• An understanding of ASQA requirements would be an advantage

As a First Aid Trainer and Assessor, you will be an exceptional communicator, who is able to work well both autonomously and in a team environment. The capability to build rapport and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are crucial to the role.

The successful Trainer will also possess an interest in imparting your industry knowledge to those eager to learn and expand their careers. They will have a strong customer focus, the ability to multi-task and be adaptable in their approach to work and teaching.
